General Information:

If you are experiencing an emergency and you need medical attention right away, call the NorthEast MC Emergency Room for advice. They will decide if you need immediate attention and whether a physicians will be called.

If it is not an emergency, but you need to reach a physician, Dr. Jarchow can be reached through his pagers. The office personnel and the hospital operator (704/783-3000) have the ability to reach him at anytime. At times, a designated ENT physician in the community and the NEMC hospital operator will have this information available.

If the information sought is routine, then call one of the medical assistants at the office during office hours.

In most cases, prescription refills may be handled through a call to one of our medical assistants. If it has been a long time since the doctor has seen you, or, if in the opinion of the medical assistant, the problem seems to warrant reevaluation by the doctor, then a visit to the office for reevaluation by the doctor may be more appropriate. If a refill is to be called in, please have the name of the pharmacy as well as their telephone number handy at the time of the call.
